The PBS NOC will be performing uplink testing this week (week of 6/8/26).
Expected interruptions are no greater than a diversity site switch. Please contact NOC_TECH_MAINT@pbs.org or achorning@pbs.org with questions. Notice of this work has also been posted to myPBS advisories.
Station Impact:
Terrestrial sources for HD01, HD02, HD03, and HD06 will switch at the times indicated in the schedule posted below. There may be a brief interruption in these feeds during the switch, and it is expected that the timing of the feeds may be slightly different during the tests. Stations who make timing adjustments during this testing period will need to re-adjust when testing is finished.

June 10 • 0900 – PBS OPS posts advisory on myPBS.org • 0955 - EDM TOC contacts PBS SOC requesting access to Galaxy 16 Transponder 22. • 0959 – PBS NOC switches terrestrial MPLS feeds to EDM sources • EDM monitors myPBS.org and responds as needed. • 1430 – PBS OPS posts advisory on myPBS.org • 1455 - PBS SOC contacts EDM TOC requesting access to Galaxy 16 Transponder 22. • 1459 – PBS NOC switches terrestrial MPLS feeds to back to local sources
June 11 – 24hr test - ingest and short turn file, uplink switch. • 0900 – PBS OPS posts advisory on myPBS.org • 0955 - EDM TOC contacts PBS SOC requesting access to Galaxy 16 Transponder 22. • 0959 – PBS NOC switches terrestrial MPLS feeds to EDM sources • EDM TOC coordinates with EDM MC to switch uplink. EDM handles email and myPBS.org notifications • EDM monitors myPBS.org and responds as needed.
